‘The Outsiders World Tour’ will kick off Sept. 11 in Bossier City, La., and will include special guest Dwight Yoakam on all dates. Who else is on the tour? And is it coming here?
The 19-minute film elaborates on the previous characters he’s introduced in both his music videos and album previews for his latest album, ‘The Outsiders.’
Church advised fans to pay attention to the characters in each of his music videos from “The Outsiders” — and two new ones are introduced in this new video.
This one picks up where his previous music video “Give Me Back My Hometown” left off, and includes some of the same cast of characters. “I love a good mystery,” Church told Radio.com.
“It’s always been important to me, when you have success, that you’re not just taking the safe path,” Church told Radio.com. “That you’re continuing to be artistic and creative and mining new ground.”
“It’s different,” Church told Radio.com. “And I don’t know how people are going to judge it, that’s up to the people to decide, but no, it’s different.”
Eric Church has been teasing new music since late last year with cryptic messages and videos. His latest video for “Give Me Back My Hometown” is just as vague.
Released today (Jan. 3), the soaring ballad is a departure from his upcoming album’s lead single and title track “The Outsiders,” which Church unveiled late last year.
A day after his latest teaser video for “The Outsiders” was taken down, Church released a new clip that asks fans to “focus on the clues and stay on course.” Which appears to mean, forget about that Taylor Swift business.
The latest teaser video from Eric Church is titled “One Will Rise and One Will Fall,” and it’s accompanied by an equally mysterious message. “The Outsiders fought the good fight,” it reads, “now it’s time to shed a light on everything the masses need.”
