When it comes to country music, there’s no shortage of amazing songs in 2014.
“I remember we just started with the word ‘dust,’ we wanted to do something with that,” Eli Young Band bassist Jon Jones told Radio.com about the song. Watch the new music video.
“Dust” was shot on a homemade dirt track that was created especially for this project. “It’s taken a massive amount of people to make this happen but it’s pretty exciting,” director Peter Zavadil said in a behind-the-scenes video.
While the Eli Young Band may not have hit exactly the number of locales noted in the title of their most recent album, 10,000 Towns, chances are they’re getting close.
The hard-working Texas group has been gaining a new level of career visibility in recent years, thanks to hit songs “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” “Crazy Girl” and most recently “Drunk Last Night.” Now they are set to reach even higher with new album “10,000 Towns.”
“It felt like that Friday night anthem that our band has never really had and this song accomplishes that without being cliche,” Mike Eli said.
“A lot of times when people talk about the other No. 1s I’ve had, they’re always like, ‘Man, stop giving away all of your hits!'”
“If anybody’s been in a relationship for a long time they’ve all been through ‘Miss You.’ It’s a song about being in love and everything going great but being too busy to show love.”
