Country fans, now’s your time to make your voice heard! The Academy of Country Music has just opened up fan voting for their Entertainer of the Year award. They’ve also opened up voting for the ACM New Artist of the Year award, as well. Voting began on Monday and will continue into next month.
After earlier this year revealing “Automatic,” the first single from her upcoming album, Miranda Lambert today unveiled a brand-new music video for the song.

“I feel like women in my grandmother’s generation were expected to put on a pretty face and not really show their crazy sides,” Kacey Musgraves said, describing the ideas behind the three-time ACM-Award nominated song she cowrote with Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. “Now, it’s a bit different.”
“Platinum” will feature 16 songs, half written or cowritten by Lambert and one of which will feature another female superstar. Lambert also revealed the album’s cover art — curious to see it?
Nominees Aldean, Bryan, Lambert, Strait, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and the Band Perry will perform live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas during the 49th ACM Awards on April 6.
From hit songs to her charity work to the excellent album she released with the Pistol Annies, 2013 was another strong year for Miranda Lambert.
“‘Automatic’ is a song about the good life,” Lambert said. “It’s about slowing down, taking a breath and remembering what it’s like to live life a little more simply.”
