Dierks Bentley brings his current single “Drunk On a Plane” to life in a new video on Funny or Die. Complete with kegs and flight size bottles of Kentucky Whiskey, Bentley proves he knows exactly how to have fun.
Dierks Bentley is all about getting drunk on a plane– and now you can, too. In celebration of his new single, “Drunk on a Plane,” he launched a photo app that allows fans to upload their personal photos and add their own story to the snapshot with various graphics.
During rehearsals for the ACM Awards, Bentley and Crow spoke with Radio.com about the song they performed on the show together, “I Hold On,” as well as Bentley’s next single “Drunk on a Plane.”
Bentley and Crow will perform “I Hold On,” Brice will perform his ACM nominated single “I Drive Your Truck,” and Paisley will make the national television debut of his new single “River Bank.”
Lee Brice, Hunter Hayes, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, and Keith Urban have also been added to the already impressive bill of the television special, which airs in May. LL Cool J and actor Chris O’Donnell will host.
Bentley and his band put their spin on Swedish DJ Avicii’s huge dance hit, complete with fiddle. Watch the video.
You ever think about the impact you make on other people or your kids (if you have them)? I wondered how much thought Dierks Bentley had put into this, so I asked.
“Every album I make I try to make a snapshot of where I am at that point in my life,” Bentley told Radio.com. “I’ve found the more personal that I write, the more universal the song tends to be.”
“My job as a songwriter is to capture my life and transfer it onto an album,” Bentley said during the New York premiere of his film “Dierks Bentley: Riser.” “The more personal you get, the more country fans can relate to it.”
“It’s a pretty dark song,” Bentley said. “I’m not afraid of trying things. It’s a song I believe in, but it pushed the album release back about four months.”
