These days, award show season never really stops. The 49th ACM Awards were only four months ago (and the GRAMMYs are still half a year off), but this weekend we’ve got the VMAs, and in the weeks ahead country fans can look forward to the eighth annual ACM Honors. This latter event is an annual showcase honoring a huge range of special award recipients with a splashy gala at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
Jake Owen was previously announced as the ACM Honors host at this year’s event, which takes place Sept. 8. Now the Academy of Country Music has announced that Dierks Bentley (who hosted the event last year), Kacey Musgraves, Hunter Hayes, Will Hoge, Kelly Clarkson and Dwight Yoakam performing this year. Tickets are currently on sale.
The list of performers also includes Rodney Clawson, Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott, Jack Ingram, Lee Ann Womack, Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio of TV’s Nashville, Shawn Camp and the Oak Ridge Boys. Additional artists are attending as presenters as well, including Kenny Chesney, Brenda Lee, Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett, Pete Fisher and the Swon Brothers.
