What started as an idea to have the Doobie Brothers hits transformed into country songs is now a reality with additional artist names being thrown into the mix, including Vince Gill.

In an interview with BillboardMichael McDonald opened up about the still untitled project and which songs his country artist friends are working on. He said he’s recorded new renditions of three ’70s hits, “Takin’ It to the Streets,” “What a Fool Believes,” and “You Belong to Me.”

McDonald revealed Love and Theft appear on “Takin’ It to the Streets,” while “You Belong to Me,” has Gill teaming up with Amanda Sudano-Ramirez, daughter of Donna Summer and one-half of duo Johnnyswim.
