Dubbed the Riser Tour, the action begins May 9 in Charlotte, N.C. and continues in cities across the U.S. and Canada throughout the summer. Along with Charlotte, cities on the first leg of the tour include Washington D.C., Detroit, Philadelphia, L.A., Phoenix, Las Vegas, Cleveland and Indianapolis (see the full list of cities on Radio.com). Along for the ride are special guests Chris Young, Chase Rice and Jon Pardi.
“This tour is the culmination of everything I’ve been working on for the past two years, both out on the road and in the studio recording RISER,” said Bentley in a statement on his website. “I know what my fans want: a kick ass show, an affordable ticket and a good parking lot scene to get the pre-gaming going! The guys opening the show and getting the party started all know how to put on a great live show, and when it comes time for my set, I can promise that we are going big! I have never been more excited about a tour.”
Bentley’s album Riser is due out Feb. 25. “I named the album Riser because the lyrics in that song perfectly articulate who I want to be, who I try to be,” Bentley said. “There’s a lot of really intense material on this record, but there’s also a lighter side that is equally important in telling the story of the last two years of my life.”
That “intense” time in Bentley’s life included the death of his father, but also the birth late last year of his son Knox. “I ended in a place of real joy and gratefulness,” Bentley said. “Both sides of that coin are what country music has always been about, and I hope that my fans can feel how much of myself I put into this project. It’s all out on the table, for sure.”
The album’s lead single is “I Hold On,” the video for which premiered last year on Radio.com.
Tickets sales for select cities on the Riser Tour begin Jan. 24.
