And I’m back, but I’m not the same…

Kerris Kathryn, 2 months old

Kerris Kathryn, 2 months old

It staretd out a typical morning, I turned up the country jams and did some dancin’ and singin’ with my little lady (her favorite activity). Apparently she’s already on the Carrie Underwood bandwagon (smart girl) because she broke out some giggles (which is a new thing) while I sang ‘Cowboy Casanova’ to her. What happened next cemented the fact that I’m an entirely different person since having a baby. Trace Adkins voice filled the home with ‘You’re Gonna Miss This.’ I always liked that song, but never before has it made me tear up.¬†It happened¬†because my 10 weeks home with Kerris had come to an end. It’s not just going back to work that made me emotional, it was the fact that she’s already 2.5 months. That 10 weeks flew by, literally it’s all a blur. And that’s how I imagine life will be from here on out. It will all go by too fast.

On November 2nd my husband and I welcomed our daughter, Kerris, to the world. This little nugget of love has changed my life in ways I never imagined. I don’t eat, shower, drive, sleep or even think the same, and it’s all for the better.

Now I take on another adventure, being a working mom. This means no more LMN tv marathons and it’s definitely time to retire the sweat pants I’ve been living in for the last 10 weeks. So as I return to BUZ’N I do it with a new awareness of enjoying every moment because that’s what it is, a moment that will be over before you know it…
