Cassadee Pope is documenting her journey from winning NBC’s hit show, The Voice, to becoming a Country star and all that happens in between with the CMT docu-series called Cassadee Pope: Frame By Frame. The show premieres on Friday (October 4th) at 10 p.m. ET on the network. Fans can preview the episode here.
Cassadee won Season Four of The Voice as a member of Team Blake, and even though she got used to being on camera, Cassadee says the CMT special provided a far different experience. “Shooting the CMT docu-series was really interesting cause I was used to The Voice where everything was planned out. You saw a schedule, ‘You’re gonna be in front of the camera at this time and this time,’ but with CMT it was very sporadic. You know, the cameras were on, the mics were on all the time all day, except for the mornings. I made sure that I set that boundary. I needed to wake up and do my thing, but I wouldn’t say it was the most fun experience. I mean, I don’t consider myself a reality star, so that’s not something that I want for myself in the future.”
Cassadee says she thought the docu-series was a great way to let fans see inside her world both before and after winning the show. “I really thought it was important to have fans see what happens after something like The Voice, and also have people realize that I grew up singing country music. This is like my roots, and there’s some footage of when I was a kid singing country, so you’re gonna see a lot of that. You’re gonna see my return to The Voice, starting the Rascal Flatts tour and a little bit of the studio footage as well.”
The second installment of Cassadee Pope: Frame By Frame airs on Friday, October 11th at 10 p.m. ET.
Cassadee’s debut album, Frame By Frame, will be in stores on Tuesday (October 8th). It features her hit single, “Wasting All These Tears.”
