Reporting Shayne Wells
There’s a baby on board! Honk Honk! And no we’re not going to find out if it’s a girl or a boy. So what’s the response when you tell someone you’ve decided not to find out? They immediately make a diagnosis of what it is. Happened on the elevator in my building last night. Lady asked what it was, and I told her it was going to be a surprise and she immediately looked at my belly and said “It’s a girl, I can tell by the way you’re carrying.” I still don’t know what that means but I’ve heard it about 15 times (even from a stranger on the street). The count right now is about 45 to 3 with the majority saying it’s a girl. By the way, Paul Koffy is one of the three who are convinced it’s a boy.
Side note, not finding out the gender is a major money saver. Try going in to one of those cutesy baby boutiques and only being able to look at gray, white, yellow and green. That really keeps the green in your wallet. If I knew what this lil peanut is, I’d have about 14 pairs of newborn shoes & cutesy hats, all things that really aren’t that necessary (or so I’m told) in those first few months.
