If you missed it when it debuted this past May, you now have a second chance to see Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night. The two-hour, all-star concert broadcast airs again tonight (Friday, July 26) at 8pm ET on CBS.
McGraw’s guest list for the show is a massive one, including Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, Jason Aldean, 2013 ACM Entertainer of the Year winner Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, rapper Nelly, and Faith Hill.
In a Radio.com Essentials profile on McGraw (watch below), which was produced this past May to coincide with the original broadcast, US99.5 on-air personality Trish Biondo pointed out that the range of music represented on the show is no big surprise. “What’s great about Tim is that he’s a fan of music no matter what,” she said. “He loves country music, but it’s fun to see him go out and bring in artists that he’s interested in and excited about.”
Scott Borchetta, president and CEO of Big Machine (McGraw’s label), points to Tim’s duet with Ne-Yo as a highlight of the show. “I love when Tim sings with Ne-Yo, because he sings completely differently. After the performance I spoke with Tim and said, ‘We’ve got to cut a record like that, because you sing so incredibly well in that space.’”
