This month, Keith UrbanLittle Big Town andDustin Lynch began a brand-new adventure together. It’s called the Light the Fuse Tour, and it’s taking the artists across the U.S. throughout the summer and fall.

Light the Fuse hit Charlotte, N.C. last night (July 25), which was only the fourth date on the tour. And based on what we heard and saw during that experience, the country world is in for a wild ride–from soulful opener Lynch, to the sassy vocals and high energy of Little Big Town’s performance, all the way to Keith Urban’s 17-song, jam-session-filled show (see Urban’s set list below).

The evening was full of surprises, some of which left the crowd both cheering and, on occasion, scratching their heads. Lynch, for instance, may look the part of a cowboy, but he brought a little hip-hop to the show with a countrified version of Trey Songz’s “Say Ahh.” And during Urban’s set, each member of his band enjoyed their shining moment on stage covering songs like Adele’s “Rumor Has It”, fun.’s “Some Nights,” and Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven.”

When Australian heartthrob Urban took the stage, the deafening screams of fans shattered all barriers. But it wasn’t an elaborate, over the top entrance; instead, he gingerly walked out from the back, banjo in hand, and commenced to jam. Each band member then made their way on stage in intervals to join him, until all four guitarists and bassists were front and center.

The “Long Hot Summer” singer was all about connecting with fans, too–including those with lawn tickets. He spent a large chuck of the show on a second stage at the sound board right on the lawn. And he even finished the show in the lawn seats, a deliberate move to make sure every fan had an up-close-and-personal experience.

Another surprise for fans came when Urban debuted a brand new song off of his upcoming album Fuse (due in stores Sept. 10). Called “Even The Stars Fall For You,” it was supremely catchy.
