Country trio the Pistol Annies have cancelled all current concert dates.
A statement from the promoter reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Pistol Annies are unable to appear on any dates in June but Miranda Lambert will perform instead.” No additional explanation has been provided for the cancellations.
The timing is curious, since the group (Lambert, Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley) just released their sophomore album, Annie Up, a month ago to positive reviews. They also released the fun video for their single “Hush Hush.”
Last week, the Annies even cancelled their scheduled appearance at the CMT Awards (Miranda performed solo, and Monroe attended as well). The event page on their website shows “no events at this time,” and their Twitter account has been silent since May 29.
All this has led to speculation regarding the status of the group. Is trouble brewing?

However, Presley was quick to answer–writing “stay tuned,” which seemed to imply that an explantation would be coming:
Along those same lines, Monroe also appeased concerns about the group in a comment Tweeted out by SiriusXM’s The Highway:
Whatever the story is behind the Annies’ cancellations, perhaps for now they’re simply taking the advice of their own song and keeping things “Hush Hush.”
