Miley Cyrus To Taylor Swift & Selena Gomez Fans: Back Off

Miley Cyrus is sick of all the haters and took to Twitter on Sunday (May 12) to call a few of them out.

In her rant, she specifically addressed the overzealous fans of Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, who she says have been tweeting death threats at her.

Cyrus continued to stress her message of love instead of hate tweeting, “We are all friends. Why can’t you all be?” She also remarked that certain fans should try to spend their time online more wisely.

Death threats have been a common thing in the Twitterverse. Last year, the LAPD launched an investigation after a man tweeted that he was going to murder actress Ellen Page. In 2011, Gomez received threats from Beliebers who were none too happy to hear that the Disney starlet was dating Justin Bieber. While last year, Swift also received threats after photos surfaced of her holding hands with One Direction’s Harry Styles.

Other celebs have even stepped in to tell their fans to back off like Chris Brown, who last year told Team Breezy to lay off John Legend’s fiancée, model Chrissy Teigen, after she criticized his performance at the Billboard Music Awards.

Cyrus admitted that she has her fair share of crazy fans who need to respect other artists as well.
