Diaper Free Potty Training – Does It Work?
After talking about this, this morning, the phones lit up…apparently IT WORKS! I don’t know that I would be brave enough to try it though. One round of mishap and the adjective explosive and I would be back to diapers for sure.

A new trend in New York City is referred to as “elimination communication,” and consists of a baby going through life without a diaper, and the parent watching for signs that the baby needs to go to the bathroom and attempting to get them over a toilet. The owner of Caribou Baby, a New York City eco-friendly maternity store, says that parents choose the diaper-free method for a few different reasons including: concern for the environment, wanting to avoid cleaning cloth diapers, and saving their baby from diaper rash. However, one doctor says that while he knows in other countries babies are toilet-trained earlier, he is skeptical that children younger than one-years-old are able to control toileting behavior
