John Mayer To Sing With Brad Paisley At ACM Awards Sunday
Mayer will join Brad Paisley onstage at the show, airing Sunday evening on CBS, but there is no word yet on what song the two will perform together.
This is not the first time Mayer and Paisley have played together. The duo previously shared the stage for a 2007 episode of CMT Crossroads where they played Paisley’s “Little Moments” and Mayer’s “Daughters.”
This year’s ACM Awards show is jam-packed with performances from the likes of Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, and The Band Perry.
Blake Shelton will kick off the show with what will surely be a rousing rendition of his single “Boys ‘Round Here,” and he’ll be joined by a huge array of friends including Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Paisley, Bryan, and Sheryl Crow.
Kelly Clarkson will also take the stage with an as-yet-unannounced duet partner; while George Strait and Garth Brooks will join forces for a tribute to Dick Clark. And in one of the more unique pairings, Hunter Hayes is performing with Stevie Wonder.
Stars like are Scotty McCreery, Kacey Musgraves, Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow and John Fogerty are also slated to appear as presenters on the show. Additional, newly announced presenters include Gary Allan, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Chris Young and the Eli Young Band.
The 48th ACM Awards, hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, airs live this Sunday, April 7 at 8pm ET on CBS.
