In what she called a “Bluebird Cafe moment,” referring to the famous country music songwriters’ haven in Nashville, ACM New Artist of the Year nominee Jana Kramer unveiled a brand-new song during a show in Charlotte, N.C. this week. And the crowd couldn’t have been more appreciative.

The show was part of Charlotte station The New 103.7‘s free concert series, which took place at the All American Theater. Kramer sang a selection of her songs, including current single “Whiskey” and her big 2012 hit “Why Ya Wanna.” Among those songs was a brand-new one called “Darlin’.”

Kramer considered the debut of the song her “Bluebird Cafe moment” because country artists tend to debut brand new songs at the famous Nashville venue. The Bluebird Cafe is also frequently featured on the TV show Nashville.

Of course it’s far too early to tell if the song will wind up as a radio single. But the song did win over her fans in Charlotte.
