There is kind of a lot of stuff going on with some celebs right now….Here we go…
*Charlie Sheen wants to fix Lindsay Lohan and she basically wants him to go away (but she didn’t use those nice words) and now her ex-assistant is working with the prosecution as their key witness against Lindsay. He’s the guy who allegedly told cops SHE was driving the Porsche that crashed last June after SHE told cops he was behind the wheel…which now bring us to the whole lying-to-cops-situation.
*Justin Bieber turned 19 over the weekend. He tweeted “Worst birthday ever” after there was some drama at a club in London. It had nothing to do with Will Smith’s kid and Justin says the club is lying but you know what? I don’t care, it just makes me shake my head that Justin Bieber ACTUALLY says he had the “worst birthday ever” I mean ever, was it REALLY the worst birthday EVER???? Maybe because I’m sick and overly emotional today but hey, you get anything you want, go where ever you want and if there was drama at the club go to your SUPER pimped out hotel room with your friends and eat some really expensive cake and shut up.
* Ok, this is kind of funny, but not…but kind of is. A kid in PA had his outgoing message as the theme for Fresh Prince of Bel Air, specifically the line “Shooting some b-ball outside of the school.” A medical receptionist called to remind him of his upcoming appointment and thought he said “Shooting some people outside of the school.” So she thought this was a threat and called the cops who quickly alerted the ENTIRE district who went into lock down while police looked for this kid. The 19 year old who was at school was swarmed by police and taken into custody. After a few minutes of explaining and maybe a couple episodes of the Fresh Prince they determined he was in fact singing the theme song and let him go.
The district’s superintendent made a statement following the mistake, saying “It gave us a wonderful chance to review our emergency procedures.”
I mean, it’s sad considering this is sort of the world we live in now where school shootings are THAT common but still after the fact, it’s pretty funny.
*Rihanna and Chris Brown will probably get married and have children if Rihanna has it her way, according to an interview in Elle Magazine. If you are a Rihanna fan, the Elle article is a good read. I actually am kind of envious over how well spoken she is. I also think how hard it must be to be in a relationship with Chris. From the outside looking in, it’s not ok and I bet their family/friends/etc don’t really support it 100%. I mean, I hope they have people in their life that support as long as that person is happy and not in any real danger but still, I get what she is saying in this quote.
“[New single Stay] is a story about having love that’s close and wanting it to last forever. You don’t have that feeling with everybody so when you have it you don’t want to let got of it. I would definitely say that he [Chris] is the one I have that kind of relationship with.”
To me, if THEY are happy and it CAN work, (without any more abuse) I don’t think past mistakes should matter in the current relationship. THAT being said. Their circumstances are different, he beat her up so there is a very different, serious situation there. But in non-abusive relationships, I truly believe if the 2 people in the relationship are happy and it’s working, why should it matter what ANYONE on the outside thinks?
*Kellie Pickler’s drummer, Gregg Lohman, was in a bad accident Saturday morning. He’s in serious but stable condition. They think his accident might have been caused by rubbernecking another accident that just happened 30 mins before in the same area. Kellie Tweeted:
Yesterday, my drummer Gregg Lohman was in a horrific car accident & is currently in ICU. Gregg is not just my drummer, he is family…I believe in miracles & the power of prayer, so it would mean the world to me, my band, & Gregg’s family if you would please keep him in your prayers.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
*Toby Keith is also mourning the death of his long time bassist and friend, Carl “Chuck” Goff Jr who was killed last Weds night in a crash in OK. The other driver was not injured and the accident remains under investigation
In addition to being bandleader for Toby, Goff also co wrote two of Toby’s best known tracks, “Upstairs Downtown” and “You Ain’t Much Fun”.
Toby Keith released the following statement of his website Thursday:
We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of our band member, Chuck Goff. He was a close friend for over 25 years, the band leader and bass player. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family.
