They say history repeats itself, therefore you won’t see me boarding the exact replica of the doomed ship that sank more than 100 years ago. An Australian billionaire is in the process of rebuilding the ship with his own money set for sail sometime in 2016. Many consider this a temptation of fate, remaking a notoriously “unsinkable” ship that sank back on April 15th, 1912. A representative of the Finnish designer of the Titanic II said this will be the “safest cruise ship in the world.” Isn’t that what they said about the original one?!? Titanic II, being built in China’s Jinling shipyard, will have some luxuries that were not available on the original Titanic, such as a fully stocked hospital, a helicopter pad, Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. No word on how many life boats will be on board…ironically.
Rumor has it a first class ticket will go for around $1,000,000…but if you can’t afford that I guess you can just get a 3rd class ticket. (What?!? Still too soon?)
