While music has their big night this Sunday with the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards on CBS, movie lovers have their own show to look forward to: the Oscars! This year, music meets movies as Turner Classic Movies (TCM) brings its popular 31 Days Of Oscar® to life with help from some of music’s biggest stars.
Monday, Kristian and Brandon Bush from Sugarland are taking to their Twitter accounts to live tweet during TCM’s showing of the 1967 American prison film Cool Hand Luke beginning tonight (Monday, Feb. 4) at 10pm ET. Fans can follow @kristianbush and @thebrandonbush‘s commentary all night while using the hashtag #31days.
The pairing, by the way, isn’t just random. The Bush Brothers have in the past performed their own version of “Plastic Jesus,” a song featured in the film. The track was written by Ed Rush and George Cromarty in 1957 and sung by Paul Newman, who stars in Cool Hand Luke. (Take a listen here.)

Kristian and Brandon obviously know something about movies–and they’ve even done chats about movies before.
Featuring more than 350 films that have won or have been nominated for an Academy Award, the 31 Days of Oscar series is popular among many movie lovers, as it allow a chance to go behind-the-scenes and deep into the minds of the movie industry’s greatest actors and films. So if Cool Hand Luke isn’t your cup of tea, TCM offers many more days of classic films for every taste.
