Unapproved Cold Remedies: And The First One Is …

(credit: Paul Koffy / CBS)

I took a Z-pack.  I went to URGENT CARE sat in the waiting room and they made me put the avian bird flu mask on because I was coughing and nasty.  Get me?  I went to the Doctor, did the health care co-pay, got the script and took it.

I even got a bottle of some narco type cough medicine.

I am not a Dr. and none of my statements will ever even be read by the FDA much less garner an approval.

That said – I like to try all sorts of stuff if it will keep me healthy or make me feel better when not feeling up to snuff. I’ve done a bit of digging around on the intraweb and a cold remedy that has quite a few pages dedicated to it is SOdium Bicarbonate. (BAKING SODA)

Apparently mixing some baking soda in water and drinking it will knock a cold out.

Chug A LUG! Today is the first day of the rest of my life and also the first day I will start drinking baking soda.  I will be repeating it over and over before purchasing because I have learned the hard way with making chocolate chip cookies that baking soda is not the same as baking powder.
