Back for redemption on one of my favorite reality shows…Celebrity Apprentice! Celebrity Apprentice “All Stars” will surely be a great season with the likes of Gary Busey, Penn Jillette, Dennis Rodman, Stephen Baldwin, Dee Snider and of course, Trace Adkins. I love the one-liners that Trace delivers in this promo, especially “I’ve been so down, I’ve written like two dozen country songs”. Ha Ha!
I really hope he wins this time around, especially since he said he’d NEVER return to do this show again. So why is he returning then? Trace is back primarily to raise money for the Red Cross who helped him when his house caught fire and burned to the ground back in 2011. He explained, “I was ashamed of myself that I didn’t know that the Red Cross responded to house fires. I thought they were like grand-scale natural disasters, and that was about it. The fact that they were there and took care of my family when I couldn’t be there, I just felt like I owed them. I held the show’s producers off for a month or so, and kept telling them, No, I’m not ever going back. The first time I was on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ was one of the most stressful periods of my adult life, and I didn’t want to come back and do it again. So it took my house burning down to get me to come back.”
Well I’m not saying I’m glad his house burned down, but I am glad Trace is back. If you’ve never seen this show before I highly encourage you to watch, even if you’re not a fan of “The Donald”. It’s truly entertaining and fun to watch. It’ll premiere March 3rd on NBC.
