What do country musicians listen to when they’re not listening to country? Ask a musician, and you’ll probably get a wide range of answers. Some will be predictable, while others will come from left field.

Consider, for instance, Florida Georgia Line. When Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of the chart-topping country duo were asked that question recently by Cledus, Dave & Veronica at Tampa station WQYK, the answer they gave took the Florida DJs by surprise.

“If we’re not listening to country, we’re probably listening to rap or rock,” they explained. In fact, Tyler and Brian explained, “we’re big Wiz Khalifa fans.”

They went on to say that they just picked up a copy of Wiz’s album. “Can’t wait to listen to that later.”

Wiz’s latest album is O.N.I.F.C., which dropped Dec. 4. So far he’s released three videos from O.N.I.F.C., the latest being “The Bluff.” If you’re curious, here’s a taste of what Florida Georgia Line is digging (note that the video contains some explicit language):

As for Tyler and Brian, they just finished a two-week run at top of the country singles chart with their catchy song “Cruise.”
