Bathroom Blog: Backstage at Country Jam and My Interview With Thomas Rhett
I got to interview Thomas Rhett, he’s a new comer but not to Country Music his dad is Rhett Akins. He wrote Blake’s “Honey Bee” and Rodney Atkins “Take a Back Road” and some other hits but had his own back in the day with “That aint my truck” one of my favs. That was a fun interview, he made me run my fingers through his “greasy” hair and I’m not going to lie, standing backstage next to Thomas and watching our interview on the Jumbo-tron was pretty cool! I try to remain composed and cool, but inside I was freakkking out. haha AND! after watching this I realized I pronounced his last name wrong, oops. I HATE when I do that. Well I have a weird accent that makes Ds sound like Ts, Im surprised he didnt correct me. haha Watch the interview!
We also had a fun backstage convo, it started thundering and he says “I should walk out playing The Thunder Rolls!” He didn’t but he did play a little of it in his set. He was also telling us “it never fails, it rains EVERY time I go on stage and evvvveryone leaves. Every. Single. Show. Then I get off stage and it stops raining.” Poor guy. haha
I was also backstage with Lauren Alaina who was TINY, she has lost soo much weight since Idol. She was seriously the sweetest girl ever. She asked about the pink in my hair and we talked extensions, haha. She gave me some makeup tips I’ll share with you soon and she kept saying “Im buzzin it” every time she saw me because she couldnt say “Buzzin at” 102.9.
I interviewed Montgomery Gentry Friday night. Troy is sooo musclely! Is that word? Doesn’t matter, that’s what he is! Super nice guys but I was intimidated.
Right before I interviewed them beer spilled on me AND I got stung by a bee and PS getting stung by a bee HURTS. I hate that bee. I asked Eddie the last time he got stung by a bee and he said “Just pour some Jack on it” haha!!
Heres a couple more of my Country Jam pics, after this weekend I realized I don’t take as many pictures as I used too and I need to start doing that more.
My friend Billie, she’s with The Rowdy Cowboy Show
With Promotions in the Buzn Booth. It was so fun meeting all of you that stopped by!
I stayed in this hotel last minute that had a paper clip to hold the curtains together. Haha! Hey, sometimes you gotta make do with what you got.
