Parenting hasn’t always been easy for country superstar Luke Bryan. During an interview Tuesday morning with Cledus, Dave, & Veronica from Tampa station WQYK, he joked about the difficulties of being a father.

Potty training, for instance, has had it’s challenges–especially timing. “There’s no telling” when his son Tate is going to go, Luke says. However, “He at least pulls his diaper off, and you can tell when he’s about to pee on the floor.”

So much for the glamorous lifestyle of a country music star.

Luke’s furniture has taken a beating, too. “Why are there popsicle stains all over our white couches?” he wonders. “It looks like I’m running a meat processing company on my rug,” or “hanging deer in the living room.”

Luke is, though, celebrating his fifth Number One song this week, with “Drunk On You.” “I never dreamed in a million years of a situation where I’d have five Number Ones,” he says, “so we’re loving life. It’s crazy.” He recently posted a live video of the song as a thank-you to his fans.

While he was planning to take some time off in Florida this week, his vacation, he found out, might be wilder than he thought. The tour bus, he says, drove through “the heart of” tropical storm Debby, just before it made landfall. With the storm picking up speed, his vacation might be a tad rainy.

Luke didn’t seem to mind, though. Quoting his 2010 Number One hit song, he reminds us that “Rain is a good thing, baby!”
