Nominations for the 2012 CMT Music Awards were announced this morning (April 23), and Carrie Underwood leads the pack with her name in five categories.

Miranda Lambert earned four total (two with her group Pistol Annies), and the list of artists with three nominations includes Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, The Civil Wars (two of the three for their collaboration with Swift on the Hunger Games soundtrack), and Thompson Square.

Fans can now vote for their favorites in the key categories. The five nominees for the Video of the Year category will then be unveiled the night of the ceremony (and further fan voting will take place that night).

Underwood previously won Video of the Year in 2010 for “Cowboy Casanova.” Other Video of the Year winners include Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney.
