Dick Clark passed away yesterday at 82. His publicist told CBS Los Angeles that he “passed away this morning (Wednesday) following a massive heart attack.

Dick was a fan and friend to all types of music and musicians. He was known for American Bandstand, Pyramid, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, along with the Golden Globes, Daytime Emmy Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Country stars and celebrities immediately took to Twitter to express their grief upon hearing the news about the lose of this TV & Music legend. Some were shocked and others were happy to have simply met the man.
