The Band Perry, hot off their ACM Awards appearance and performance at last night’s We’re All For The Hall show in Nashville, called our CBS Local show, Lisa Dent & Ramblin’ Ray to discuss the excitement of the evening! Ray even had the opportunity to give Kimberly Perry a vocabulary lesson! Apparently the Perry sibling who wears the designer shoes is not Kimberly!

“Is that how you pronounced that? I’ve always wondered,” exclaimed Kimberly, while trying to pronounce “Yves Saint Laurent.”

However, the focus quickly shifted to the special night in Nashville.

“It was amazing. It was three hours of music. All of us artists were backed up by, geez, get this… Keith Urban and Vince Gill, on-stage. It was really just amazing for the three of this to be a part of.”

When it comes to the night’s surprises, even the performers weren’t sure what to expect?

“It was really cool. They had two surprise artists that came in and one was Merle Haggard, and the other was Don Williams. It was funny, the rumors were flyin’ all through the night about who the other one was. Some thought it was Dolly Parton, some thought it was Brad Paisley, and then Don Williams came out and everyone loved it.”

When asked what the trio thought about Keith Urban being the first non-American born member of The Grand Ole Opry, apparently the news did not make it to them! Guess they must have been doing their warm-ups. . .

“Wow, I didn’t hear that, we are always the last to find out anything! That’s amazing!”

If you want even more from The Band Perry, you can catch them this Friday on CBS, as they perform with Lionel Richie on “Lionel Richie & Friends in Concert” or catch their fifth single, “Postcards From Paris,” from their wildly successful self-titled album, on the airwaves now.
