The Red Solo Cup, made famous by keg drinkers everywhere, was taken to a new level of popularity with Toby Keith’s 2011 smash hit of the same name. Now the company that makes it is on the verge of being sold.

According to the Chicago Tribune, The Chicago-based Solo Cup Company is being acquired for $1 billion by Dart Container Corporation, (the not-as-famous) maker of the foam cup.

Fans need not worry, though. The deal, said to close this fall, will allow Solo to continue offering its products, including the famed Red Solo Cup.
