The emotions surrounding his controversial remarks about President Obama may still be fresh in many people’s minds (including those of ESPN and Fox & Friends), but it’s not enough to keep Hank Williams Jr. cooped up inside. The country music legend has announced he’s gathering together some “rowdy friends” getting back on the road for a 16-date tour, which will kick off March 3 in St. Augustine, Florida. More dates may be added soon.

Bocephus has some great friends lined up to share the stage with him as well, including Jamey Johnson, Chris Young, Josh Thompson, George Thorogood, and 38 Special (see the list below for who is playing on which dates).

According to the press materials, the Hank Jr. shows will include hits like “A Country Boy Can Survive,” “Dixie on My Mind,” and “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” as well as new material that was “written within weeks of his 2011 controversial remarks.” Apparently he’s not calling it his “Taking Back the Country Tour” for nothing.
